Our almond toffee dates back to the 1950s, when our beloved Annie Zaharis and her husband Tommy Zaharis offered it as a seasonal treat to all their Tommy’s Restaurant customers during the winter holiday season. After Tommy’s passing, Annie would launch her own restaurant, AnnieZ’s, and continue this tradition. After retiring in the late 90s, Annie continued making almond toffee for her friends and family every Christmas with the help of her friend Victor Alarcon. Our dear Annie passed away on July 2, 2022, at the age of 98. She lived a great life, and in honor of her wishes to bring this candy to everyone else, we are delighted to offer this one-of-a-kind candy all year round.
